This Level 2 Award provides a basic introduction to the Heavy Clay industry, including summaries of raw materials, forming and setting, drying and firing, packaging and distribution and quality control. The qualification is aimed at new entrants to the industry, or for those based in non-manufacturing roles.

Candidates must pass a multiple-choice examination at the end of their course.
