Weighbridge Operations has an important role to play in the efficient operations of the site where it is located. The primary role is to control the flow of materials into and from the site, or between different parts of the site. With the role weighbridge operators may be responsible for the health, safety and security, environmental compliance and compliance with legal requirements and regulatory constraints. This qualification is to ensure that the operator can prove competence in all of the above areas in additional to internal and external customer services.

For this qualification all learning outcomes must be assessed using methods appropriate to the assessment of competence-based qualifications. There must be valid, authentic and sufficient evidence for all the assessment criteria. There is no requirement for each unit to be assessed separately. Indeed, Assessors are encouraged to adopt a holistic approach, but it is essential that evidence for the assessment criteria in each unit is also identified individually.

This qualification is available to all Approved Centres.
