MPQC Level 2 Diploma in Mineral Products Processing Operations

This qualification covers processing operations within the Mineral Products and related industries. It has been developed for and applies to the operation and control of specifically designated plant and machinery for those processes which add value to extracted (by any form of quarrying, dredging or mining) solid rocks and minerals, and the recycling of materials to replace extracted materials (e.g. glass, slag, and construction and demolition waste recycled for aggregates).

For this qualification all learning outcomes must be assessed using methods appropriate to the assessment of competence-based qualifications. There must be valid, authentic and sufficient evidence for all the assessment criteria. There is no requirement for each unit to be assessed separately. Indeed, Assessors are encouraged to adopt a holistic approach, but it is essential that evidence for the assessment criteria in each unit is also identified individually.

This qualification is available to all Approved Centres.
